Only will Laser on Left- GlowForge Support NO HELP AT ALL

I have been talking to GlowForge via email for over two months about this with little to no help and maybe one email back a day. They don’t READ what I send and just give me blanket statements. Hoping to find help in the community as I’m beyond mad at this point.

My GlowForge pro suddenly stopped working after one year of owning it and minimal use. After much troubleshooting the company sent me a replacement. Now THIS ONE only laser cuts on the left side about 2” into the material and then the laser beam doesn’t appear. All mirrors, lenses, belts, the glass tube, and crumb tray all see fine.

I am now just beyond mad because I sent GlowForge an image showing a line of lasting where the laser just suddenly cuts off and they don’t even take that into effect, they sent a blurb about how they can’t guarantee how to laser on non proof grade material. This came directly after I sent several videos and photos of the same issue on proof grade material but after two months of tests I am out of that material and no way am I spending a single cent more on them until they fix this.

Any help or ideas how to fix or why it only is working for the first 2” on the left and suddenly no laser on the right?

If it did this straight out of the box, the shipping company bounced it around too much and knocked the mirrors out of alignment.(9 times out of 10 is the issue. Never end user fixable.)

Needs to go back.

If it developed, could be a laser tube or power issue but if it got moved see reason above.

Just in case you haven’t triple checked that the honeycomb tray is properly seated in the divots and that the machine is level, do so.

Make a file with a couple of single lines that run the width of the bed. Watch the laser tube and laser as the file is cut. What do you observe regarding the laser beam as the printhead travels left to right?

Good Luck, I’ve been having issues and it seems like you can only talk to the Philippines and they have to talk to the USA. I’ve taken pictures and videos and sent to them to prove my side of the issue. They will tell you it’s your fault and it’s not clean enough. The company recommends to clean the rails and machine every 10 hours, I clean it after every print job.
Good luck and hope you can get to the main company in USA
