Orange Button-Issues centering/homing-Not cutting through wood

For the past couple weeks I’ve been having issues with Centering and Homing. I have adjusted my white ribbon and made sure the black cables are snug. That will troubleshoot it for a little bit but now I have the ORANGE BUTTON and the machine beeped. Prior to that, it was working fine and then suddenly it wouldn’t cut through 1/8 birch from home depot. After that, gave me the orange button and the beep.

I have the basic. Its 5 years old now. Its well maintained besides the obvious 5 years worth of use in the form of char and debris on the inside hard to reach places. The wires are snug. The prongs are straight. There appears to be no dings or damages to the white printer head ribbon. The mirrors are cleaned and clear. There are no scratches or scuffs on the lenses.

Sounds like the black cable is dying/dead. If the camera which connects via it can’t take the picture it can’t see where the head is to center it.

It’s the most usual suspect in this issue. In theory other components, the circuit board the cable connects to, the camera itself, or the WiFi chip, could be culprits too but not normally. If the state of machine is quickly/reliably updating to the gf interface online, it isn’t that. Couldn’t say much else. Have to have the logs for that so official support would have to look.

Thanks for the input. After emailing with support all week… the machine is dead in the water.
