My vote would be to stain the individual layers if wood with different colored ink, like I did with the split leaf philodendron clock that I once posted. :slight_smile: This way you still can make out that it has grains of wood and the edges stay sharp. I love the artwork! Amazing work!

Agree - scoring is nice and sharp though is outline just like the cuts…

It doesn’t need any paint. Just mount it to a dark blue-green or black background.
