I have a pocket knife with a handle made from pakkawood. Anybody printed on this type of knife handle before? Just wanting to make sure it’s safe to engrave on.

Pakka Wood is impregnated with resin, like a stabilized hardwood. In general resins aren’t particularly dangerous to laser, though there are some reports of some resins containing PVC, which is definitely not laserable, and will damage your machine if you try.
Beyond that, resin-impregnated wood is typically quite difficult to cut.
So, if you can verify that it’s definitely not PVC, or if you’re willing to take that risk, it’ll probably engrave well.
