Created my design in Illustrator, as usual. Simple, 2 colors, one for cut one for engrave. It appears to register properly in the web app, but the GF is choosing to ignore the text (which is outlines, not actual text). Why?

If you have two files stacked on top of one another, the engrave will be ignored. If the text was not converted to a path in Illustrator the text will be ignored.

As stated above, two copies of an element that are stacked on top of each other will cancel each other out in the Glowforge interface. If you go into Outline mode in Illustrator and ungroup everything, try to move the text away. That’s how you find out there were two there.
