My kittens needed a more unique cat tree than could be purchased, one that reaches the ceiling and fits our lifestyle. Lol, so I made them this pirate ship cat tree. It is 10’ tall. The base, crow’s nest, and ladder steps are made from .5" pine; the pirate kitty flag is made with .19 underlayment plywood. The “mast” is 3" PVC pipe with sisal rope below crows nest, and painted above. I had some wall-mount sisal posts laying around, so I incorporated them in the design (I now make my own). Due to the size of the design, I had to split my vector and piece the parts together. I also made the cloud out of .5" pine, so that I could secure the crow’s nest to the wall studs for stability. It took about a week of trial and error to get it right, but I’m pretty happy with it. More importantly, the little pirates love it.
