Premium design charges

I just have a couple of questions, I’m not sure if I’m posting correctly but I’ve been a premium subscription holder since around 2020
Why suddenly do you have to pay for designs that were previously free?
I don’t have a problem with people being paid for their work, just asking
Also I’m having trouble getting into the community chat, I’m not sure exactly what I’m doing wrong. It always says error when I try to get into discord, then I reset I’m able to get on then the next time it’s an error message again. And when my print is running I also get an error message in the chat protion

Are you sure you are logged in? I have not noticed any charges in designs with a premium membership. The issue with accessing the community chat might be linked to connection issues too. It might be a good idea for you to contact support. You can email them or call them at (855) 388-2122.

Designs that are free to premium has always been subject to change so I add them when I see them marked as such as once you add them they are permanently in your files. I just looked and the vast majority are still free to premium.

I think there used to be a “design of the month” which was only available for “loading” to your dashboard during that period. If you missed it, you were out of luck.

I’ve never had premium so I’m probably wrong…

No, you are correct @eflyguy. At one time there was a design of the month that was free to premium subscribers for that month only. @quamesia.williams, if those are the designs you are talking about, they may be available for a charge now.

I noticed this also. I was looking for something new to use a teacher gift this year, and some designs that I had previously used were now for charge. I don’t know if they were previously part of a design of the month or not, but I do know I used them for free in the past. Since I had previously “purchased” them for free, I should still be able to access them, but I didn’t try. Maybe I should now.

This is correct - you’ll never “lose” a design once purchased. If they were free with premium, you would lose access if you dropped your subscription, I believe.

I wonder if you drop your subscription then get it back will you have designs you previouly purchased
also how long does it take for you to lose access to purchased designs; for instance if your subscription payment is late… how late can it be
