Printer only allowing for about 7 inches of work space

Hello everyone!
I’ve been troubleshooting for a few hours, and I’m running out of ideas.
(I have already sent a request to support, but thought I’d pick your brains while I wait)

My printer has been misbehaving today. When I turn it on, it only wants to let me use about 7 inches of the print bed, instead of the usual like 19 inches.
I’ve set the focus, turned it off and on, opened the lid, changed the material, refreshed the browser, restarted the browser, and restarted my computer.
I’ve also cleaned the camera lens twice.
I’ve checked the black band in the back, and it looks alright to me.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry your first post is a problem, but welcome. There are many here much more experienced that I, but I will offer a suggestion. As I understand it, the amount of usable space on the printed is often related to how complicated your design is and the speed you are using. The print head needs space to stop and reverse direction at the edges of the design and the faster the printhead is going, the more space it needs to do so. Can you reduce the speed and see if that makes a difference?

Oh my gosh, that worked!!
I didn’t know that, thank you so much!
I’m still pretty new; I had an Aura for a bit, and then upgraded 2 months ago.
You’re an angel.

I have never engraved above 1000 speed except to test it when they introduced the capability years ago.

As well as reducing the print area, I feel it puts unnecessary mechanical stress on the moving parts. The head is pretty heavy yet rides on 4 small contact points and flung around by a very small belt.
