Who can help me. I have a Pro and now Glowforge has removed my Pro Pass Through Toggle Button from the drop down menu. I have reached out to tech support with no help. All they want to know is my machine number and they want me to try to open the app in different internet browsers to see if it will come back up, which it is not. I paid the extra money for the pass through and now the option is gone. PLEASE HELP!!
The passthrough option is never gone as long as you have the holes front and back. Before there was automation I worked out a system that I still prefer. I do break up the parts to individual settings as I have much greater control of several places the break can be. I align the design to the right rail so the x-value and rotation is fixed. If the breaks are only on vertical lines there is a range for tiny error and if part of it does not have to have a break, then don’t use one.
Try what Glowforge suggested (changing browsers), but continue to press Support for assistance.
I have used 4 different browsers and still nothing. They are not giving me any other options to try
To enable the cutting of a print that is bigger than the cutting area you have to turn on the pass through toggle button that shows up under the three dots at the top. My toggle button is not there so it will not let me cut the print since it can not turn on the feature
That was my point. You don’t need the feature, If you set it up right.
Have you changed out the printer head recently for the machine? That can cause issues recognizing the printer if it has been swapped and the printer head setup fails or has not been completed.
Feel free to include the number of the support ticket, and I can try to see if there may be any other suggestions to try.
Brandon, yes I changed out the printer head and cable, which I might add did not fix another problem I was having of my camera not focusing correctly. Still not sure how to get that fixed either. My current ticket number is 572768
I looked at your ticket and most recent response here, but it’s unclear if the printer head setup was completed. This may require further troubleshooting with the support team, but you can also try to run the printer head setup steps using the link below:
At the bottom of the page, there are steps and a link to the printer head setup process
If that setup fails to complete or resolve the passthrough issue let support know you tried that as well. It can be factored into any next steps from there.
Thank you I will try that in the morning when I get back to my shop
That sounds like a good plan, and hopefully, that can help you resolve this.
Brandon,
Ok so nothing is working. I have tried to run the printer head setup process and nothing is working. The first time I tired it slammed the cutting head into the front of my machine so hard it made the tube and rail jump track. Tried again and it did the cut and said it was taking measurements and then came up that the process was interrupted. I had to start it all over again and now it just wants to slam the cutting head into the front of my machine. What is going on! I keep trying to just get my machine online and now that wont work without it crashing. I have even started the machine with the cutting head right under the camera, still crashing the head
I have tired several more times and it will do the cut but when it goes to take the measurements it keeps telling me not completed and just freezes the machine
I apologize for the delayed response. I’m CC’d for the support conversations about the unexpected behaviors. The support request was raised to our senior support team members, who are trying to schedule a time for a phone call.
I appreciate your taking the time to post updates on this Community page and hope you’ll find a quick resolution with the additional aid from support. I suggest consolidating responses to the support ticket to avoid any confusion with multiple threads affecting response and review times. Thank you!
