I am going to look in NY to see if the housing is all one piece. If it’s actually multiple pieces that are bolted together then cutting (and the obvious warranty violation) might not be necessary if you could just take the whole front off.

@dan has already stated it was possible to defeat the lid mechanism with magnets.
I wouldn’t don’t want to blind myself or my family. Takes much less than a second for the invisible beam to destroy your vision permanently.
If y’all keep this up. We’re going to have to sign in blood a 50,000 page document before GF will unlock our devices by way of the cloud. Too many people are prone to read this forum and just think of that sounds easy.
You’ll be happy (?) to know that the Glowforge cannot cut the Glowforge.
The front flip-down door (visible in the video) is separate, but the rest is one giant injection molded piece.
