Why am I not able to purchase Premium? I have attempted to purchase it several times over the last few months to no avail. I am missing out on using the text format, scoring etc.

Scoring is a normal feature just like engraving and cutting and not something that requires Premium.
If you know how to use an app. like Inkscape, Illustrator, Affinity Designer or others, you don’t need Premium

You may really want it though, if you’re a craft series (Aura of Spark) owner. There is a 200kb max file size limit if you’re not premium with one of those machines.
