Purple Button after Job

Hi all! I’m somewhat concerned, as my GF button has been glowing purple at the end of the last two jobs that I’ve run. So far, knock on wood, there haven’t been any issues with the jobs, but after reading others’ posts I’m getting concerned. Can anyone tell me what the purple button means? Is it safe to continue printing? I’m working on several large jobs and I don’t want to damage my machine.

Purple button means your Glowforge is near death

I want to update the thread from last week to help someone who might get the purple button. This replacement Pro arrived on July 23. It was brand new —not one scratch. It looks like it just came off the assembly line. Around July 27 of 28th the first purple button appeared. It appeared 1 minute after I started a print. It was also the first project that day. The Glowforge stopped but the air assist fan was still running. I turned off the machine and turned back on a minute later. No proble…

It’s kind of an “the system is in a state it shouldn’t be” error. It’s impossible to say why from the button alone.

First thing I’d do after seeing it is restart the machine. Powering off and on can fix lots of software issues.

Is contact support by email/web/discord. They can see things on the back end that tell them more detail about your particular issue!
