Also, please note in the corner of the second photo, the puzzle pieces overlap each other.
Suggestions greatly appreciated. Also, using medium bass wood, power 10, speed 6, one pass and not cutting through. Can you tell I’m a newbie…trying to read everything out there…THANKS
We were all newbies at some point. Keep building on your laser education, this is a good place for that!
I don’t think the medium plywood has proofgrade settings for it in the Aura. It has settings for the ‘light’ plywood listed at 10 power, 16 speed, and 2 passes. Repeated passes may eventually cut through medium ply but with a degradation in quality from burning. I don’t know, I haven’t tried medium plywood in the Aura.
The ‘overlap’ you mention may be due to residue on the round rails the head slides on, making them ‘sticky’. the residue builds quickly causing the head to drag. With the power off, gently slide the head back and forth slowly, feeling for any drag. I wipe the rails after each print with an alcohol-dampened rag - and check for drag again.
If the head were to bump something it would cause that kind of displacement also.
