If the image is true black, that will give you the exact same result as a vector engrave, you don’t need to change anything.

Sorry I couldnt reply for awhile because Glowforge said I reached my maximum number of replies for the day as a new user. I have made several of the bob marley and naruto designs and they came out perfectly.
