In the first couple weeks I had my Glowforge I posted about flowers I made from painted laser-cut birch plywood [link]
I wanted to follow up on that post as my crazy flower ideas have, well… blossomed. I have really enjoyed my flower projects. Creating colorful, rigid flowers in CAD that egg-crate together to form something organic and flowing feels a lot like re-engineering to replicate nature. And it is a fun challenge.
My latest (and most complex to date) is a Protea. Also since my first post I have also done a passionfruit flower, bird of paradise, and an unpainted tiger lilly. Hope everyone enjoys!
