Resizing my SVG files

Sometimes the settings that you use to save your SVG file can cause changes in the size that the file is rendered. For instance in Illustrator, you have to make sure that “Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities” and Responsive are not checked.

In Inkscape, you want to make sure you are using the current version 0.92 to keep from potentially introducing errors in raster images, and set your Edit > Preferences> Bounding Box to Geometric.

For All Programs: If you want to engrave a bitmap (raster) style image and include it inside a vector SVG file, you need to Embed the image in the file if you want it to stay aligned inside the SVG file. Otherwise you will need to re-load the raster file and use the camera to align it visually.
