I have no problem setting the preferred font, I need to know how to make it stay on that font when I change lines of script or design. Mine keeps going back to Lato and I have never used this font.
There is currently no way to set a preferred font.

As a work around - would it work for you to copy and paste an object to with your selected font instead of making a new object for each line?

This is what I do - also, if you haven’t already, mark your preferred font as a favorite so if you do lose it at least it’s only one click to find it again
