Hi all, I’m new to Glowforge and have just bought my first machine this week 
Is there anywhere I can find a list of suitable materials (Non glowforge) and settings please? There seem to be so many varying opinions of what you can and can’t use. I’m really excited to get going but really don’t want to have to buy branded materials all the time!!

There are definitely varied opinions, especially as different people want different things out of their machines.
PG stuff is great since it’s actually guaranteed to work, but the cost is definitely higher because of that.
Acyclic is generic, you can get it from anywhere and as long as it’s not a colour the blue diode can’t cut, or filled with metal glitter or something, it will cut using the PG settings.
The Aura, and Spark, are especially good at paper/cardstock. That’s where they excel!

but keep in mind there are slight variations in every machine so you may still need to fiddle to get it to your perfect.
