Settings for cutting 1/4" MDF

erm… they are in the post you replied to?

I cant even get close to cutting. my 1/4 inch mdf board. I am going crazy trying to figure this out. newbie here.

Not all MDF is created equal! If your glowforge is operating normally on proofgrade materials we can assume you’ve got a stubborn batch of MDF.

You may be able to use multiple passes to cut through the material, but that often leaves very charred edge and increases the kerf.

A couple months back, I purchased new 1/4 MDF. I experimented with at least 15 different settings. Nothing worked that was acceptable.

I could take the speed down to 120 but that was way too much char.

Thanks for your comments, I was having trouble cutting 1/4 MDF, not anymore. I used .15 and 3 bypasses.
