Settings Question about IMP112G

Hi all… I am all set to print to a clear acrylic item #IMP112G from JDS and when I use the setting that I have saved it tells me that the print will only take 1:26. And i KNOW that is not correct.

I am using the following settings:
Meduim Clear Acrylic
speed: 550
power: 80
LPI: 45

Any help would be great!
THANKS!

LPI of 45 seems very low, but I don’t know what you are actually printing as I don’t have the JDS catalog.

Here is an image of the item and my engrave file.

The item is found in the JDS Industries catalog:

I honestly thought the same thing about the LPI. But that’s what I had in my notes. I upped the LPI to 270 and the time jumped to 8:50 which seems much more logical. Set the LPI to 450 and time is 14:33.

So NOW I’m wondering if I simply wrote it down wrong in my list.

I would guess so. An LPI of 45 would have the lines visible to the naked eye.

Why not just use the Proofgrade setting for clear acrylic? I would choose sd graphic for the engrave.

Used the setting I had these settings

Speed: 550
Power: 80
LPI: 450

Came out exactly the way it was supposed to!
Thanks all!

It looks great! I see that you mirrored the design and engraved it on the backside. Working in acrylic, even 450 LPI is pretty minimal as looking closely you can still see the horizontal cuts, at SD it would be a series of horizontal lines that would look as bad as 45 LPI.

At 1355 When the max speed was 1000 I had the power at 50 but with a thicker acrylic going to full power, I would at least test and increase the speed rather than the power as needed.

I cannot tell but the JDS numbers are probably generic as to machines, so they could reference Lightburn or other software.
