Have you seen this? @designvh619 graciously provided the file.
Hi all! Happy Friday!
Here are the designs for the Coasters and the box I made to hold them. Coasters are medium clear acrylic and holder is medium cherry ply. I like the way it turned out. Definitely adding this to my store. The coasters are 3.75" square with a slightly rounded corner. If you want to make your own, just remember to work each layer in a different color so you can see what you need to do for each layer. Then just select everything and make it black before exporting as svg. I des…

Yeah, sure. I’ve done it. It’s not perfect, but it definitely helps!
Nice job! Acrylic is so much fun!
So I made 20 or so of these this Christmas for all of our nieces and nephews and some of their parents as well. Many of which I also purchased from 3 Bee Studio . To your point about making the bottom catch less light, I tinkered a bit and ended up applying a gradient of 159, 159, 159 through 255, 255, 255 then rasterizing that (since the the app can’t handle vector gradients at this time) and doing a Varied Power engrave at 1000/100/340. As regards deidrebeth’s example of it, I’d google image search kraken or historical kraken or something like that. Plenty of drawings and paintings of this subject. Separating it into layers is where you really learn your design tools.

How do you get the draft photo option. I’m not seeing it when I bring a file in.

It’s one of the Engrave options.

I understand it’s one of the engrave options. However I’m not seeing the option when I go to my workspace. What do I need to do to be able to get that options.
It depends on your file. If it’s photo-like, with shading and such, the photo options come up under the engrave settings; but if it’s just got flat areas of single-color fills, they don’t.

Exactly. It appears when the selected object is a bitmap with shading.
Otherwise, you will only get the “graphic” options.
