So I saw this and wanted to do something similar to start building the skillset, and was talking to my Software Dev Studio at our weekly meeting about the Glowforge and showing them some things I made when it struck me - they need a sign! So here it is - pretty happy with how it turned out in the end. The frame is old cedar fence boards I’ve referenced in the past - I have a crap ton of them. Simple lap joint on the ends, rout a dado into the back and the sign fits perfectly. Hot glue around the back inside edge to hold and whallah - they have something cool to denote the department.
