I want to make a stand for my thick clear acrylic shape. I would like to make a round disc and cut a line slit in it so the shape would fit in and stand straight up. I can’t figure it out. What settings? I need to make it a certain thickness to have it fit in and a certain depth so it wont go through to the bottom. Someone help!

Nobody can tell you what settings will work for your material. Just test on a smaller piece first.
It would just be a solid area engrave.
Yup, you’re going to have to test - here’s some very in depth instructions to get you started 
For this sort of thing just cut it out. Engraving will take ages.
