So many misprints on my Aura/eta on bug fix?

I’m not sure what to do. I’ve deep cleaned, calibrated, set focus, made sure my ribbon wasn’t catching, used different types of files, Proofgrade materials, non-proofgrade materials… I’m losing money on materials and orders. Does anyone know when they are going to fix this issue? I can’t keep my business afloat if I continue losing money becau

se I can’t make anything.

I am having the same issue where any prints that take more than 5 minutes the cuts are off and even those are hit or miss sometimes. The engraving will be great and then the cut will be up to 1/4” off and further off on each pass out of alignment. Even with the new update it’s still not cutting properly. I can’t very well clean the rails in the middle of a print. It’s not dirty rails. It also happens on proofgrade materials and on other materials.

Sorry that doesn’t really help you but know you’re not the only one who is frustrated.

And also, @snlmorgan08:
Have you messaged Support via the support page? Only us customers here.

The only thing anyone here can otherwise suggest is rails rails rails. Every time, after every print alcohol wipe down those rails.

Thanks. I have messaged support. It appears that I’m not the only one having these issues. I’ve cleaned my rails after every print, so I don’t think it’s that, but thank you for letting me know they don’t read this. I was just really frustrated.

Very common issues with the Aura. As a temporary measure you can print only in the bottom right corner of the bed. Maybe up to 8x8".

This seems to happen a lot as the positioning of the silver ribbon on the Aura is too close to the laser head when it moves to the left side/top. The head will bump the ribbon, even ever so lightly, and it will put the head off track. Support will tell you to sort of bend the ribbon up, which might get you one or 2 cuts before it’s happening again.

I don’t think there will be a fix. That’s just my opinion, but the fact that they move right on to selling the Spark, without addressing the Aura issues makes me wonder.

I had my first Aura replaced under warranty for this (and other issues) and my second machine did the exact same thing out of the box. My second machine has now completely died after very little use.
