The web based software used with Glowforge Aura is filling in my shape instead of just an outline when I chose engrave. If set as cut it presents as an outline. I want to engrave the outline - not sure what I’m doing wrong. Within Illustrator, the shape just has a colored stroke, no fill.
I think the “score” setting is what you want.

and if you want a fat line you need to either make it engraveable in your design program, or change the focus depth in the score setting to .25" or more different from the actual width of your material.

That is a feature and not a bug. Any vector can be a cut, a score, or an engrave. I often set the outside cut to a score and everything else to ignore and then peel off the masking so the raster that can only engrave doesn’t have to go through the masking first.
Then I set everything back to the regular settings and make the piece.
