Spark/Aura Dark Navy Blue Cardstock Settings Too High?

I’m going to reach out to actual Support, but I thought I’d check in to see if anyone else was seeing this behavior or similar.

I have some dark navy blue 80lb cardstock. I tried scoring it using the PG settings - and it cut through. Ok, maybe cuz it’s so dark - so I lowered them, multiple times, all the way down to 200 speed/.1 power (that’s not a typo) and it still cut through. Which means the actual cut settings of 73/10 are WAY overpowered.

Is it just because of the colour? Is anyone else seeing this? I’m on a Spark so I do have the option of 200 speed, but I’d be curious if anyone has been able to score cardstock with their diode.

No…not me. At first, it would scarcely make a mark when scoring, so I raised the power for the score and even saved it as a custom setting…but, the next time I used it, it just cut right through. Personally, I also think the settings are not right…especially those for scores. I don’t recall though what color paper I was using at the time.

I have tested settings with different colors of construction paper and find that the color of the paper does affect the performance. I have gotten into the habit of testing score and engrave settings before a final print. The cut settings have not been the issue for me.

Have scored various colors of cardstock - generally start with the default score setting and back off a bit. Color does seem to make a slight difference.
