Sticky Paper to apply to repurposed glass, for etching?

Hello,

I want to re-use some window pain glass from a re-model project.

Does anybody know of a product name for a good size roll of sticky paper. Like the paper GF uses on Proof grade materials? Not finding what I want on Amazon.

For engraving glass, many users put a film of dish soap on the glass. If you really want to mask the glass, search the forum for “masking”. This subject has been discussed lots! This link may be helpful - see #2 Common problems/questions

I don’t use anything on glass but, of course, I tested with what I had to make sure it worked fine with what I had. In my case - spice jar lids, shot glasses, and cheap plates from the dollar store.

You could stencil it and use etching cream. I did it with paint.

I had some extra pane glass and tried etching like ceramic tile. I used transfer tape to mask it. Then the last of red spray paint. It came out runny and chunky. But it added to the effect. Cut a groove with table saw in block of wood to mount it freestanding. Kinda like a microscope slide. [image] [image] [image]

I used Vinyl Ease and it worked perfect. Settings were full power full speed and 0.04 thickness. Funny thing is, I used it for sticker transfer and it didn’t work at all.
