The daily rant: words of encouragement, humor, birthday wishes, etc

I think she used the cake icon in a post. (Might not actually be the day.)
(I went and checked too.)

A very merry un-birthday…to you, to you!

I love birthdays! But @jules is correct, it is not my birthday…

I think @geek2nurse’s moving brain kicked in when she saw this response:

We did just go out and enjoyed a lovely birthday worthy lunch - duck at the Vietnamese in college town. I appreciate them so much - and we’ve been going there for 25 years or so - I gave them some lovely keychains today…

Meanwhile I’ll store up your best wishes till my half birthday - which happens to be December 24th! :grinning:

Those are lovely keychains! Not only the country & flower etchings, but love that hardware.

Would you mind sharing where you got it? I’ve not seen a ring with the incorporated snap ring from the h/w sources I’ve been using… TIA!

Sweet, thank you! :hugs:

Happy Birthday to you!!! :birthday::pie::honey_pot::cup_with_straw:

Glad it looks coordinated to you - they are all separate pieces…

leather strip - PG medium leather
rivet - amazon kit
ring - amazon item
lobster claw - amazon find

I’ve got different color version and variations. I usually use our accumulated amazon points to get free Glowforge supplies!

Thanks–I usually get my hardware from
Ohio Travel Bag
Gold Star Tool
or
The Buckle Guy
But will indeed check thru your recommendations, too!!

Those are some great links! Thanks - a whole new world to explore…

Wow, those are great links. Thanks.

How does one accumulate Amazon points? I’ve never gotten any.

We use the amazon prime rewards visa. You get points anywhere you use it; extra points with certain purchases and even more on amazon purchases. Typically we get between $40-60 per month, which keeps me very happy in Glowforge supplies. I’m also signed in to amazon smile, so that .05% of my amazon purchases go to my designated charity. It’s not much but it adds up over time.

Ahhhh, of course. I’ve resisted their credit card so far, wish I could trade one of the others for it. I thought you were talking about a frequent buyers program or something!

I would definitely qualify for that…
