Can anyone suggest a wood that would be thin, durable? Something to make bracelet “face plates” (not sure if that’s what you call it)

Have you tried the Proofgrade veneer? I used it to re-face all the buttons on my autoharp and it’s still going strong. (I did coat each button in resin, because those buttons really take a beating).
