This item is in my office, but totally useless and time consuming. if anyone has any ideas, please share, its apparent that Im not the only one with this issue. Thanks and look forward to any responses…

Welcome to the forum.

I see that you joined the forum in 2019. Is your machine now 4 years old? Have you ever been able to use it for an extended period of time.?

not really. and alot of times i get to the end of something (like a plaque w/words) and it goes crooked. When it works it works pretty good, but it doesnt work 90% of the time. Im ready to throw it away. I waste too much time trying to get it to print.

If it “goes crooked” chances are the printhead bumped into something because the carriage plate doesn’t just wander off of the rails. I am sorry your are so frustrated you want to throw the Glowforge away, but you posted about a temperature problem. Do you get the too cold message when your machine is in an environment between 60 and 75 degrees?

all temperatures for the most part. We even have portable heaters that we put around it.

There may be a problem with the temperature sensor. I recommend contacting Glowforge support. They’re the only ones who can diagnose that.

What is the exact temperature adjacent to the machine? I don’t mean what your thermostat is set to - use a real temp sensor to track it.

You’re implying this is an endemic problem. I can count on one hand how many times it’s been posted here, with over 100,000 units sold.
