Thanks, they were a big hit at the event. People really liked the personalization and instant gratification of having it to take home right away. Most trophies for these type of events are not personalized.
After I got the names, it took about about a hour total to enter names for 16 winners and cut/engrave. I got there just as people were leaving (I think it took some extra time for the hosts to get me the names). I left with the masking on in order to get there quicker. I was going to clean them up as winners came over to pick them up. Many saw what I was doing and said they would take it and unmask them themselves. A few commented on the nice freshly lasered wood smell.
In the future, I would have set 1/2 of the plates to cut, then taken them out to unmask while the other 1/2 cut.
