Is anyone near the end of life on their tube? What’s the max use time anyone has put their machine through?
Are replacement tubes available? Any idea when they will be? Cost?

I don’t think it is on the main site as just now the very first of the warranty is running out. If you are near the end of your tube congratulations! You have paid for your unit in either selling stuff or in bespoke things for you and yours.
Anyway, at one point they said tube replacement would be $500 including shipping.
Also, we don’t know how long they last as no one has had one fail from just hard use so far. I’m hopeing for 5-7 years of intermitant use, 2-3 of heavy use. Time will tell.

… or spending a lot of time and money on materials trying to figure out how to do things / how this thing works!

The Glowforge tube is custom made - it’s bigger than most desktop units (850mm) and has some modifications for longer lifetime and smaller spot size. It’s rated for 2 years, and the tube is covered under the warranty. Out of warranty, we’ll replace it and realign it for you for $499, including roundtrip shipping within the US. We’ll also have a replacement tube parts package available for purchase. Note that these are sold as spare parts only; the replacement tube parts package does not come with instructions.
