Welcome Lantern

I haven’t gotten to play on the GF much lately because I’m crafting lanterns for our lantern festival. But I did manage to get a handful of edge-lit lamps made, and they fit perfectly inside these sheer golden moon lanterns. Hopefully they sell! I’m keeping a pair for either side of my entryway.

What a great idea! You can switch out the acrylic pieces for every occasion and season. The lantern is lovely and diffuses the led lights in a very satisfying way.

I forgot to add I used the GF to cut shallow cups for the lamp puck to rest in. I hot-glued the cups to the bottom of the lantern - that way the lamp can easily be removed to swap out batteries or acrylics.

Question: Where did you purchase the edge-lit lamp stands?

If you’re in the states, you can get them from Amazon.

I also ordered thicker acrylic because the slots in the LED pucks are a bit too wide for 3mm sheets (they’re 4mm). The 3mm acrylic will work, but won’t be held snug. The 4mm will be very tight.
