It was a discourse issue (the service that hosts the forums.) I was on another forum (SmartThings) and it went down also.

I was more worried about the fact that I couldn’t stop myself from constantly hitting refresh than I was about the forum actually being down.

After exploring the Tesla forum, I gained a good appreciation for discourse. That forum is really slow, there’s no search function, and no way to acknowledge a post without typing one up. The speed and lack of a search function where my biggest complaints. It really sucks compared to this.
The other thing that stood out to me his how civil and helpful this community is.

Could be that parts of Discourse are hosted on the same Google servers as YouTube.
