Hi Everyone,
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me. I traded my old Glowforge Pro for the new HD. I bought some 1/16 inch exotic wood from Ochooch Hardwoods to make some specialty earrings. I bought leopard, purple heart, zebra, black lima, padauk, canary, and Bolivian rosewood. Their site stated all of these woods are fione to cut on the laser. Does anyone know what speed to cut them at? I can cut 1/8 Baltic birch on 210-225, but I’ve never cut 1/16 inch of anything before, and with the cost of these woods, I don’t want to waste them. Thanks

Nothing is ever wasted if it provides you with helpful information. I suggest you use just the smallest amount off one end of each kind of wood and do some testing. Write down your results and it will be great.

I buy from Ocooch and use all of those woods at 1/16 thickness. Some of the species are harder and more difficult to cut than others. Cutting at 250 and full power is a good place to start.
