Will not load files

I have not been able to load my stored svg design files to the actual Glowforge program to edit/personalize. This has been an issue for many months. The screen keeps flashing and reloads. I do have Many designs in my library and suspect this may be the issue. Is there a way to just dump many files at once or do you have to delete each individually? I cannot use the Glowforge at all because I can’t load any files other than what is already in my library. The only thing I can think of is to cancel my premium account and wait for my storage library to clear. Any suggestions?

There is not a way to delete many files at once. Cancelling your Premium subscription doesn’t sound like a good solution. I suggest you contact Glowforge support, then clear your browser cache and/or use a different browser. Click “my designs” then walk away and let the designs load.

That sounds very frustrating. Sometimes clearing browser cache or trying a different browser can help. If it is the file itself and there’s one that is OK to share you could post it here and one of us could try to upload it and see if there’s any issues. ChatGPT helped me figure out my last issue.

I do not believe there is a limit on the number of files you can save in the UI dashboard.

I would also suggest a different browser. Although they used to recommend Chrome, it no longer works for me on two different computers (latest version on both)…

+1 for trying cache clearing and a different browser. Possibly try a new profile with no extensions.

I have at least several hundred designs in mine. It is unmanageable beyond a couple of pages of recent designs. Getting to older designs is well-nigh impossible. I tried to organize and clean them up when GF introduced the “smart folders,” but the process was too fiddly to get it done. GF support acknowledged the issues, but told me not to hold my breath for a fix.

That said, I rarely see spontaneous reloading of the UI, and recent designs open right up. So, I suspect your issue is unrelated to the number of designs stored.
