Does anyone know what font might be used that would be the closest on the Glowforge premium?

Also I assume you mean the Yankees baseball team. Google is your friend here:

Gets you this:

Which indicates that the closest font they found is “Machiarge Regular Font”.
This doesn’t solve your google font question outright but the google fonts page lets you filter based on a few things including “handwriting”.
If it were me I would install Machiarge and design it in something like Inkscape and bypass Glowforge’s font selection altogether. You may have your reasons for being constrained by the Glowforge editor, but if there’s a way to do it without that editor you’ll have a lot more freedom.
