I have read and tried all the topics for the orange light and none have worked. I have been trying to get my glowforge going for the past 6 hours with no luck. I have an orange light, I have turned the machine off, cleaned all connections, cleaned and checked laser head, mirrors and carriage. I’ve cleaned the in-line fan, and it is not cold here, what am I missing?? I’ve read support can run diagnostics on it, but I can’t figure out how to contact them.
Sorry to hear your GlowForge isn’t working. To contact Support you can click on the Support tab at the top of this page and submit a request or you can call then at (855) 338- 2122. Call during business hours in Seattle. I hope they can fix it for you.
The orange light can also be other significant errors besides temperature, certainly never the optics themselves. Whatever you do, do not perform the complete reset procedure you might read about for the machine yourself, because that wipes the logs.
