A confluence of sorts… free container of sorts

Many different things came together in my head to come up with this:

  • the new clear blue acrylic is a new favorite!
  • seeing @designvh619’s use of combining a practical cut with a shadow box style, sparked my creative mind.
  • my left hand is finally used to using the mouse more than just for basics (I have tendonitis in my right elbow for awhile now).
  • we all need a vacation - at least mentally, having been in lockdown forever, and being high risk, I’m not changing that anytime soon. This gives that vacation feeling.
  • I have missed sharing a free design for forever it seems (arm not cooperative).

For personal use only as per forum rules!

  • I used medium clear blue acrylic for the container; medium maple ply for the lighthouse layer and medium cherry or walnut ply for the top layer.
  • I used box-o-matic to generate the holder.
  • I used some graphics from Clker.
  • I glued the front wood layers together first then use no fog glue to attach it to the holder itself.

That is beautiful! I love the blue acrylic. - Also, when I had tendonitis I went to an acupuncturist and it was amazing how well it worked for me. I couldn’t even close my hand.

Yes, a fan of acupuncture! Unfortunately this is just a side effect of rheumatoid arthritis in that joint, and it can be active for a very long time. Just have to wait it out and baby it meanwhile.

Wonderful expressions. That glass work is wonderful. The choice of glass for the body of the rooster is perfect.

Do you have tennis elbow per chance? I suffered for years with it until finding this from a random pinterest search: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KGOMBC/ - it fixed me forever, and now I am forever obligated to post this whenever someone might benefit.

Thanks! I did have tennis elbow in that joint in my teens, but this round is more complicated than that, because of rheumatoid arthritis which I’ve had most of my life. This time more joint bits are involved and by and large I have to just avoid using it till it calms down, as well do my usual meds.
