Another wine box! Now with a few amendments and also with a birch plywood 3mm worked really well

Hi there,

Previously I’ve posted a horizontal wine box and it’s a really exciting project to be honest!

Did few adjusts here and there and I’m happy with it!

Beautiful. That’s a nice piece of wood.

Would make a great lunch box too for a gourmet picnic! Perfect for a sub sandwich!

that looks great.

fwiw, i might try making this with smaller finger joints. for me, at least, i find the smaller joints more elegant. they can be a bigger PITA to assemble, though.

All that hinge must take forever to cut!

Saw your comments about the finger joins, I’ve recently started using the “3 small joins then big space” style jointing and it looks much more elegant than regularly spaced fingers.

Sorry, can’t remember who first posted it or under what title.

There are interesting and lovely, but not what I was thinking of.

Yeah I was super jealous I didn’t think of it first in my finger joint megapost.

Nice. I like the subtle arch of the finger joints in the center.

I could have sworn I got the idea from you. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’ve added it to give an extra support for the middle part as it does make a lot of difference to hold the bottle weight, specially when walking with it!
