Hello. I have searched for this on the forum but the only post I found did not give me my answer. I am cutting white mat board (from Michaels) on my Glowforge for a frame. I used 200/100 speed but a little residue was left. Would you increase the speed to avoid this? Also, what material do you use as the setting. I used 80lb cardstock. Thank you so much.

Welcome to the forum.
We are not supposed to discuss settings for non Proofgrade material except in the Beyond the Manual section. Therefore, I am moving this thread.
It doesn’t matter what material you select from the material list if you are going to input manual settings. You can select Uncertified Material or anything else.
Other users have cut mat board at 250/100, so your settings of 200/100 is close. Try doing some tests to see the fastest speed you can use and still get a clean cut. To avoid char, you can consider using low tack masking.

@dklgood is spot on. For a fast and easy test method check out my post here.
I’ve cut matboard with masking like they suggested, it’s very effective.
