I know it has been mentioned as a capability, and been done on other lasers, so I wanted to ask if any pre-releasers or beta unit users have tried etching a design or artwork on denim yet?

Not yet. 
(It might be a little tough to pull off before they get the power settings dialed down a bit. Should be soon though.)
