I recommend getting a few things before doing all of this, including A straight edge razor blade for scraping the old adhesive off of the glass, and frame. Lid hinge

There have been a few instances of that. Personally (I am not support), but I would rough-up each surface just to give the surfaces more “tooth” for adhesion. scratches on the glass is all you need. The best adhesive I ever encountered in my 65 years is PC-7. A two part (catalytic) adhesive that bonds to anything except a liquid. Do it before the other hinge is stressed to the point of failure.

I have had the front handle fall off my lid (Original kickstarter unit), the lid come off the hinges (original kickstarter unit), and the lid separate from the hinges (2nd refurbished / replacement unit).
