So manufacturing will be in-house instead of outsourced now? Will you be able to offer repair services again, instead of just replacement?
Welcome back. I’m already looking what I’m seeing in the new layout. It’s not exactly what I would have done, but nobody can realistically expect that unless you made it modular!
Yay for good jobs in Seattle, and hopefully resiliency in the coming times.
I applaud the manufacturing innovation and am happy that Glowforge will be able to manufacture products in the USA.
Really like that you’ll now be manufacturing right there in Seattle.
Yea, for Seattle!!
There should be a feature where every time you press the print button, you get a chance at a golden ticket to visit the Glowforge factory. With Dan dressed as Willy Wonka leading the tour, of course.
This is awesome news!!
All great news! I somehow missed it before, but the addition of the button in the ui to make the background white so you can see your design better, is much appreciated!
This is wonderful news @dan !
Do you mean the preview mode? Where it does a rendering of your design on a given material?
No, I’m talking about this button:
It changes the background to white so you can see your design better.
I missed that entirely! Great for folks who have a hard time seeing against the grey 🩶
You’re both right. Without a material selected, you get the simple B&W on white background, but if you’ve selected a PG material, you get it rendered as if it were that material:
Awesome! I totally missed that.
I have a Pro and the Spark. I have the preview button when using the Spark. I don’t have it when using the Pro. Does that seem odd?
Do you still not have it if you make the materials match? If I remember correctly the preview only worked on certain materials…
Double check that you have at least one object on the screen and that it’s set to cut, engrave, or score.
Nope, I don’t have it on the Pro, but it is there for the Spark. I don’t use it, so no big deal, just odd.
Same result using Firefox and Chrome. When I use Firefox, I can’t edit images, I get blank white space after clicking edit in Firefox, but it works in Chrome.
Yup - just checked on mine, nothing on the Basic either. Must be an only offering
