Come on, I’ve seen your creative woodwork. Maybe a photo of that kayak when you get it done. - Rich
Mine is an old pic. Probably a dozen years ago. Tend to avoid cameras, and large social gatherings, so it was the most recent picture available. Figured changing it would be confusing since I was fairly active on the forum.
That drawing looks like Kerby after swallowing a hedgehog.
Mine: The circle conveniently cuts off my face. Whew! - Rich
Mine is my first attempt at “art” when I was like 15 after seeing lots of art on snowboards at a workshop.
The original is bigger and has the other half of the smiley face persons ‘head’ resting on the ground. And of course showing that even smiley face person has a skull on the inside. Still smiling of course.
Now I keep it to remind I was that young once , I turn 41 next week ack. And it fits nicely in avatar spaces.
My wife’s uncle used to do that too. He was OSS (predecessor of the CIA). Anything you’re not telling us?
Rich @chrgeup - thank you so much for starting this thread. I’ve often wondered about so many of the Avatars I see in this forum. It’s great to understand what others are using and why the image has meaning to them.
I’ve been a Mustang fan since I was a kid. My current summer ride is a 2012 Shelby:
They are amazing cars for the money. (Relevance: My typical forum avatar is my car but the forum picked my ugly mug for some reason)
Yes but why?
Keep reading! Chuckle!
You can change it in the Preferences. (Smokin’ car!)
I’m secretly a cat… LOL
My avatar is my Ragdoll Cat Starbucks. I also have his brother Picasso (Maybe I should switch it up… so I’m not playing favourites…)
Picasso and Starbucks have the same biological parents, but Starbucks is from the first litter and Picasso is from the second litter.
Forgot to put why: Because I am a crazy cat lady.
Interesting…do you have a V8 under your hood. - Rich
My daughter is going to school in Newcastle upon Tyne right now! Which is saying something, since that’s about 6000km from our home in Calgary Canada!
Back on topic, our avatar is me and my better half; B(ill) and D(ebbie) T
Mine is just my lazy rescue dog. Sticking his tongue out after I interrupted his nap.
Not sure who rescued who…
Dogs (and some cats) are like that. - Rich
Not any more!
When I moved from Philadelphia to Seattle I left all my suits behind but one and have rarely needed it.
I can’t imagine what the t-shirt/shorts/sandals crowd would say if I showed up what used to be my daily tie and jacket outfit.
Mine is from the year I was Hell’s Librarian for Halloween. Proper librarian clothing, plus tiny horns, plus a bloody battle ax that said, “Overdue, My Dear?” on one side and “SSSSSHHHHHH” on the other.
That’s absolutely awesome.
Originally it was Dr. Pood. (Long story about why I use that as an avatar name). But after my wife and I bought the Glowforge for our combined Christmas present last year, she said the name had to be changed since it’s now a joint purchase. I agreed and we chose Maiman after the guy who invented lasers. Why no picture? I tend to be more private and I just haven’t gotten around to it. Also, plenty of other things going on in our lives and no picture certainly works well enough. This discussion may just make me get off my butt to change it.
