Sure, I guess. But it is no where near as fun and not as easy to find your posts. - Rich

Mine is from one of my fishing trips. It is the largest stripe bass I have caught to date.

Nice one! How long to land that, and where is that? - Rich

Caught it in April at Beach Fork lake in Wayne WV. Wasn’t a bad fight to get it to the boat but was a fun one. They fight completely different from large mouth bass, which is what I usually catch.

Mine is in heraldry terms Argent, on a bend engrailed sable three staggs heads erased Argent. Or in laymen terms my code of arms. This also happens to be a picture of my full sized shield I hand painted.

It’s just a vectorized photo of a 1/12 scale pilot I’ve put in an R/C Hawker Hurricane.

That’s a great ride. Happy to have another Mustang fan among those of us waiting for our Glowforge!

Mine is a box that I turned. The dark piece lifts up to expose the inside. It sits up on three legs dovetailed into the base. Cherry, walnut, maple & mahogany.

It’s my extra brain. Why? It made me.

Or it’s a Pectinatella magnifica that grew on the end of our dock. Why? It made me.

You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to ask about that…

Yes, Rich. Maple, mahogany & walnut. I used a drill press and angle fixture. The ovalness comes from the reveal as wood is tuned away. Doing “regular” eyes was fairly easy, doing the “goofy” eyes took several tries to get decent.

My avatar is just my photo. My day job is security guard on Easter Island.

…actually, it’s my night job too. I don’t get around much.

OK…consider me ‘poked’. Laziness and lack of imagination left me with my own photo…taken with Photo Booth on my Mac. My user name though, actually might be more of interest. Several years ago, I worked as a secretary (of sorts) in a seminary connected to a Benedictine Monastery just a few miles from where I live. My sister sent me an email one day while I was at work, referring to me as an ‘abbess (female version of an abbot) in waiting’. She had read it in a novel. I got a kick out of that, so began using ‘abbessinwaiting’ as my email user name. My job there lasted only about 3 months, but because I was fond of my new ‘name’, I added an ‘x’ in front of it…and dropped the rest off. I am no longer an abbess…but an **X**abbess.

(as an aside…I ran out of likes for this page about halfway through. To be continued…)

Mine is the first and only time I had facial hair of any substance in my life for six weeks on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. I did an extra long version starting from Le Puy, France and did 1,058 miles. Only selfie I had on my phone at the time. Since I don’t do board games, video games or comics (well, funny paper comics until C&H discontinued), I don’t really have any alter egos. If I were to do it again, it would be a pic of one my my wood-fired pizzas. Probably would have done a LotR character somewhere along the line, but the movies really spoiled my book images.

You did post a picture of one of those, didn’t you? If that was your avatar everyone would short out their keyboards with drool every time you posted. :joy: (<- drool emoji) - Rich
