GF error regarding material thickness

My GF says material in too thick, it’s 5/8" and I have tray removed. what can I do to continue with project?

You need to prop up the work piece so that the surface is within 0-1/2” of where the crumb tray surface was. This tool will help

The surface to be engraved must be within the 1/2" focus range of the lens. Elevate your material so that the surface to be engraved is between 1.5" and 2" from the floor of the Glowforge. The tool referenced in the previous post is a game changer, so I suggest you print it.
