Glueing clear acrylic?

does anyone have a work around for gluing to clear adhesive and not having it look like garbage?
I made a miniature desk and the top is frosted and the glue shows through and looks so bad.

A picture of what you’re making might help folks to offer better suggestions. Is it possible to use double-sided tape? If the issue is that the glue is messy, you can trim tape to be neater and just cover the areas you need to stick.

Here’s an article testing a lot of different adhesives, you can see what they look like: A Comprehensive Guide to Gluing Acrylic - Danielle Wethington

There has been a lot of discussion here about gluing acrylic and, some about getting clear bonds. e.g.:

You can probably find more using the Discourse search feature.

I also saw a video specifically about this recently:

If gluing them together doesn’t work out well for you, you could try using wood on the edges (like a frame) - it’s a workaround I have tried before (but it’s been a while so I don’t have any specific examples to show you on hand).
