How do I scan in an image and then have the GloveForge cut it our

Hello, I’m using InkScape. I have drawn a leaf and scanned it, then opened it up in InkScape and saved it as a .svg file. I then uploaded into my Glowforge and it will only let me engrave the leaf. I want to cut out the leaf. How can I get the Glowforge to give me the option to cut out the leaf.

The SVG file format can contain both bitmaps (like your scanned in drawing) and vector information (which you would need to create a cutting line for the Glowforge).
