@dan has made a few comments (the most recent was literally today, to you , so I’m not sure why it’s coming up here too?) about how optimizing paths between cuts doesn’t really net you much of a time savings.
Today:
We’ve measured the time savings for optimized pathing - it’s very small, so working on it hasn’t been a priority. Most of the time is spent cutting or engraving, not moving between cuts. Still something we want to do, but the ROI is mostly us being less annoyed at our prints.
We do appreciate all feedback about how your Glowforge is working for you. And we are definitely working on lid camera alignment.

There’s a simple algorithm to optimize the path. But yeah, the traveling salesforge problem is not one at the top of our priority list right now.
